Replacing Your Laptop's AC Power Adapter
If you have a laptop computer that runs on a battery, you probably have an AC power adapter from which you can run your computer and charge your battery. The AC power adapter comes in very handy because laptop batteries only last for about six hours without a charge.
Unfortunately, the connector on your AC power adapter will probably begin to act up within six months of purchasing your laptop. The connector of your necessary AC power adapter will fit less and less well as you use it so that eventually the AC power adapter will not conduct any power to your computer at all.
When the connector of your AC power adapter no longer functions, you will have to get a new AC power adapter. If your laptop is under warranty when your AC power adapter quits working, you can probably get a new AC power adapter through your warranty.
However, if your laptop is no longer under warranty, you will have to purchase your new AC power adapter for yourself. You could purchase your new AC power adapter through the manufacturer of your laptop computer, but that will probably be the most expensive way to purchase the AC power adapter.
You cannot walk into most stores and purchase an AC power adapter because most stores carry few types and your laptop has a unique power adapter that must power it. In order to find a large enough selection of power adapters to find your particular power adapter, you will probably need to go to a store that specializes in power and batteries for electronics.
Many cities do not have stores that specialize in batteries and power. At any rate, it is more convenient to order your AC power adapter online at Battery Juice. |
