The Quest for a Laptop Battery
Chances are people who own laptop computers will eventually need to purchase a laptop battery. Since they buy batteries for watches, cameras, and CD players all the time they might not give this too much thought . . .
So they head over to the store where they bought the laptop because they think, hey, that's where I bought the computer, why wouldn't they have cheap laptop batteries? When they get to the store they go over to the laptop section and look around and just when they are about to give up, they find a laptop battery.
However, there are not very many to choose from, which is strange because the store sells many kinds of laptop computers. They scan the five or six batteries that the store has in stock and realize that their model is not there.
The sales clerk looks at them as if they are crazy to think that the store would carry the thousands of batteries for the thousands of kinds of laptop computers on the market. That's not a problem so far because they like to order things online- it saves them time and money.
